The Mississippi River delivers thousands of metric tons of soybeans to Gulf of Mexico ports for export around the world. To allow fuller ships to use these ports, the soy checkoff is investing in the planning, design, and analysis to dredge the lower Mississippi River to allow better access for ocean vessels, and larger, more efficient shipments. This investment, made on behalf of U.S. soybean farmers, demonstrates their commitment to providing a reliable supply of high-quality soybeans to their customers.
