Iowa Farmer Blazes Trails in Field and Out

United Soybean Board (USB) director and Iowa grower April Hemmes always wanted to run her family’s century-old farm. As the fourth generation of her family to farm their land, Hemmes focuses on sustainability, marketing, and leadership to make everything work. Hemmes was recently honored as the first winner of Top Producer’s Executive Women in Agriculture Trailblazer Award, which recognizes female producers who represent an innovative farming operation and serve as advocates for agriculture.
