U.S. soybean oil is a favorite commodity oil of many South American buyers. Last fall, many of them got a first-hand look at U.S. soy in the fields. Doug Winter, who farms soybeans and other crops in Mill Shoals, Illinois, participated in a live video feed with attendees at the U.S. Soybean Oil Latin America Summit in Merida, Mexico. Doug talked about his 2017 soybean crop, showed some of the technology he used to harvest and talked about sustainable farming practices. Through technology, he was also able to interact with the audience and directly respond to their questions regarding sustainable U.S. soy.
