As he begins harvesting soybeans, Doug Winter invites you to watch in real time.

Winter’s Illinois farm is the site of the United Soybean Board’s Soy Span, the U.S. soy industry’s first live webcam, which has provided people around the world with a front row seat to a typical growing season in the midwestern United States.

“As we begin harvesting our soybeans, I hope everyone can pop in to see what we’re doing and what production is looking like from this year’s crop here in southern Illinois,” says Winter, who serves as vice chairman for the U.S. Soybean Export Council and as a director for the United Soybean Board. “The Soy Span webcam gives everyone – no matter where you are – the opportunity to visit the farm at any time. Harvest is a great time to see how innovation, technology, and sustainability all work together.”
