As the global aquaculture industry continues to surge, fish farmers and producers seek out better, more sustainable aquafeed ingredients. U.S. Soy’s superior composition and quality make it an important element for fish feed in aquaculture markets around the world.

U.S. Soybean Export Council (USSEC) Aquaculture Consultant – Americas Jairo Amezquita recently co-authored an article, “Commercial Demonstration of In-Pond Raceways: Tilapia Production Results Show Technology’s Potential,” which was published in the May 21, 2018 edition of the Global Aquaculture Alliance’s Advocate magazine. The story details the commercial implementation of USSEC’s In-Pond Raceway System (IPRS) as a strategy to increase fish production with reduced environmental impact at a tilapia farm in Campeche, Mexico. This marks the first time that the system, developed in China in 2013, was brought to Latin America.

The publication of these results has intensified the interest of fish farmers to implement the technology, which will further increase the demand for quality U.S. Soy in aquafeeds.
