To say that global aquaculture is growing would be an understatement almost as big as the ocean itself.

Aquaculture is the fastest-growing protein-producing industry, and has increased in value by $6 billion U.S. dollars in just the last six years, according to Rabobank.

This growth can largely be attributed to crustacean and freshwater fish farming in developing economies. Combine this increasing prosperity with better biosecurity, new innovations and improved feed ingredients, and global aquaculture may continue along a growth path for years to come, according to Rabobank’s RaboResearch.

This booming industry holds much opportunity for U.S. Soy, as fish farming continues to increase soybean meal rations in feed for its sustainability, affordability and supply.
